Now Accepting Applications for Planning Commission Pro Tem to fill a vacancy with term ending December 31, 2025. The Commission shall consist of five members who are not officials or employees of the City, not more than one of which may be nonresidents of the City. Nonresidents must live within five miles of the Yamhill City limits, and live within the 97148 zip code.** The Mayor and City Council shall not be entitled to sit with the Commission and take part in its discussions and shall not have the right to vote. A Small Taste of Oregon

Originally named North Yamhill, it was incorporated under the name Yamhill by the Oregon Legislative Assembly on February 20, 1891.

Yamhill, a small farming town located half way between Portland and the Coast,  is in the heart of Willamette Valley’s Wine Country.  Home of the Yamhill/Carlton High school and Intermediate School. Yamhill is a small community with 1199 citizens who are proud to call it home.
