Voluntary Water Curtailment:
IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE
Due to the historically low level of Turner Creek, Yamhill’s water source, the City is implementing a voluntary Water Curtailment, effective immediately. This is a proactive measure designed to reduce demand on the City’s water system and the potential for a water shortage based on the forecasted drought conditions.
Any voluntary water restriction will greatly help the City during this time. Failure to reduce water use will force the city to implement stringent water use restrictions.
It is important to understand that this water conservation regulation has nothing to do with water quality or the function of our treatment and/or storage facility but relates directly to the level of water in Turner Creek.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this possible period of reduced availability of water.
Further questions or concerns, please call Yamhill City Hall at 503-662-3511.
