The City of Yamhill is currently looking for interested citizens for the City Budget Committee and the Water Advisory Committee.
Experience is not required. Desirable qualifications would include experience in municipal activities, working with organizations, voluntary positions, committee and/or group projects.
Candidates must be residents who have resided within the city limits of Yamhill for the last twelve (12) consecutive months.
All interested parties are invited to submit an application. The application is available at Yamhill City Hall or on the City website.
Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.
The applications will be reviewed by the City Council during the March 13 City Council meeting.

BUDGET COMMITTEE
There are currently two (2) positions open; the term of office will be through December 31, 2026.
City Budget Committee members are citizen volunteers to assist voters in reviewing the prudent appropriation of public funds.
The City Budget Committee meetings are usually held the later part of March and through April. The meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers and will continue until the budget process has been completed.
WATER ADVISORY COMMITTEE
There are currently three (3) positions open and the term of office will be through December 31, 2026.
The Water Advisory Committee is a temporary committee through October 1, 2026, or until the Council deems the water supply issues have been addressed, whichever comes later.
The purpose of the Water Advisory Committee is to perform research into City water questions; consider options regarding water sourcing, water usage, and water curtailment; investigate grant and funding options for City water sources, water systems, and water rights; and, to make recommendation to the City Council concerning City water, water supply, water systems, and water sourcing.
The Water Advisory Committee meetings are currently held every-other-month, in the evenings.
